Taylor's Graduate Capabilities

(Yes, it's finally the end of my foundation)

There are a total of 8 TGC's that we should have developed by now.

The 8 includes:

1. Discipline Specific Knowledge

2. Thinking and Problem Solving Skills

3. Lifelong Learning

4. Communication Skills

5. Citizenship and Global Perspectives

6. Interpersonal Skills

7. Intrapersonal Skills

8. Digital Literacy

Sadly, I think that I have only developed a little bit of almost everything, and have not fully developed an entire TGC as its own. However, I think that the TGC that I have made more progress on has to be "Thinking and problem solving skills", "Communication skills" and "Interpersonal skills".

We have been given many opportunities to work in a group, while working in a group, the individual is able to harvest their communication skills as well as interpersonal skills. At least, that is where I have cultivated mine. Other than that, many projects that we have been given a chance to work on, requires us to have thinking and problem solving skills. Therefore, my journey throughout foundation has given me plenty of opportunities to work on these three TGC's.

I would without a second thought, categorize myself as someone who started out with poor communication skills. This is due to my shyness and awkwardness infront of crowds. However, at the end of my journey in foundation, presentations, projects and various opportunities have given me the chance to overcome this and develop my communication skills. This is because certain projects require us to get out of our comfort zone and talk to people we don't even know, It's rather intimidating, however, it's "Go big or go home". At the end of the day, I am able to see myself grow into much more than the person I started as.

All in all, I admit that I still have a lot to learn, especially where intrapersonal skills are concerned. I regret nothing on my journey, I've come this far, there's a longer path to unconver and shine light upon. Looking forward to write my next chapter in university: "Degree".
