SOCIT Tech Fest 2015
Well, what more can I say? this was indeed an event that will stick with me for the rest of my life. Why, you may ask? Because it was an event during my journey in life, my university life, to be exact.
To elaborate further, the tech fest was held and organized by the School of Computing and IT (SOCIT) of my university, and as I am in my semester 2 in foundation, we were given a maths assignment to showcase on the day of the tech fest itself. We were split into groups and had to come up with a game that had to do with the given topic, "Graph Theory". It was really a lot of fun as it promoted teamwork and was worthwhile to spend the entire day with my course mates.
On the very same day, me and a few other friends went to attend a talk about forensics. It was definitely worth the time to go down and listen. Other than that, we have often went back inside the hall to test our luck with the lucky draw, but for me? It was to no avail. At the end of the day, we all made our way into the hall and witnessed the closing ceremony or rather, the award-giving ceremony. Our class won 1st runner up with our graph theory game which was assignment-related. A victorious and enjoyable day spent surrounded with the people I love spending my time with.
