Drama

So for our foundation Semester 2, we were given a Problem Based Learning (PBL) project. We had to carry forward with our PBL ideas from semester 1, we were also asked to collaborate with another group to form a drama crew. While doing so, we had to integrate both our app ideas into a drama with a story line that will hopefully not be too complexed for our audience to understand. Yes, you guessed it, this was for our English II module. We also had to make a prototype and showcase it during our drama, this however, is for our module, Introduction to Multimedia.

Drama. Seems rather easy, right? Preparing scripts, props, audio visual, costumes and so on. WRONG. It took a lot of effort which we expected from each and every of our members. The preperation time took more than two months. The outcome, however, was worth it all.

My group's application idea was the "M-Hancer", a memory app. We collaborated with our friends with "Nutmeg", which is a cooking app. Our drama theme was based on Chinese New Year, we saw it as a fitting theme since our drama presentation was on the 23rd January 2016; just two weeks before Chinese New Year 2016.

Everyone was rather "chill" at the start. Our judgement could never have been more wrong in our lives. As the weeks past, and as our presentation date grew closer at hand, the difference can definitely be seen in our given effort and focus. Our dedication to the whole team, it was a very beautiful sight once you think about it. The teamwork and effort given by everyone in the team, in aim to pull off our drama infront of a whole audience. That was indeed a great experience, I will never trade this memory for anything else in the world. People say, money is everything. Well, let me tell you, nobody can buy such an experience, especially not an experience with the people I had to work with, it's a roller coster ride, it's an adventure, and I love taking the ride with these bunch of friends. If you were wondering what our drama was entitled, we had decided to call it "The Ong's Family Reunion". It was a great ride being able to be a family with the members of our drama crew.

In the drama, we acted as one family.

I'd be lying if I said that it was all just acting.

Truth is, it wasn't all just an act.

We are definitely a family in real life.

A family bonded from different blood.

A family found through friendship.
